Color Resin Oval Link Statement Necklace with Round Pendant

Costume jewelry is an imitation of fine jewelry and, as such, requires extra care to keep your favorite pieces looking their best. It is important to remember that, although fashion jewelry may resemble real gold or silver, it can tarnish or fade over time, even with proper care. Costume jewelry is not designed to last forever, and inevitably, you may have to say goodbye to the styles you love the very most.

At Bauble Sky, our jewelry is crafted from gold- or silver-plated brass and complies with established U.S. jewelry safety regulations, including lead and nickel standards. While our pieces are generally suitable for individuals with mild skin sensitivities, reactions can vary from person to person. As such, we cannot guarantee that every item will be irritation-free for all wearers.

The majority of items featured on our website are crafted from brass or zinc, plated in gold, silver, or rose gold. Components such as chains, lobster claw closures, beads, and other jewelry parts may also be made from brass, plastic, or glass. Select pieces from our Gold-Filled and Lux collections are made from gold-filled materials or 925 sterling silver. If you have any questions about a specific item, please feel free to contact us— we’re happy to assist you.

Plating on fashion jewelry can tarnish if worn improperly. If at all possible, do not wear the same piece day in day out. Try to rotate through your favorites to avoid constant contact with your skin. When in doubt, take it off! Exposure to water, dirt, chemicals, soaps, hairspray, perfumes, lotions and sweat can harm the plating on costume jewelry.

Costume jewelry is sensitive to exposure from air, dust, and sunlight, which can accelerate tarnishing and damage. To protect your pieces, we recommend using storage solutions such as hanging organizers with clear zipper compartments. These not only shield your jewelry but also make it easy to locate your favorite items quickly. Proper storage is essential for maintaining the quality and longevity of your jewelry collection.
